Atenews

I was a former Features Editor then Editor-in-Chief of Atenews, the official student publication of Ateneo de Davao University. I led multiple departments to cover in-school events, prepare print and online media, launch the mobile website, host multiple events, and partner with external writing and advocacy groups. While editor, I prioritized following the indigenous peoples’ exodus in Mindanao due to the armed communist insurgency.

Atenews was nationally recognized during my editorship. It was awarded, among other recognitions, the best tabloid (2015) and the second-best tabloid (2016) at the National Schools Press Conference.
