Educational Games

For Philippine Science High School Southern Mindanao Campus

Because the Philippines Science High School System implements an advanced science curriculum, I developed and refined several educational games to make the presentation of content more engaging for the learners. Games included escape rooms, roleplays, and trading card games.

The trading card game, GreenWorld, was a multi-year project with card entries and game mechanics. The artwork for the cards were supplied by students. This game allowed for student interaction in an otherwise teacher-focused lesson (environmental chemistry), and for a systems approach to the topic. The educational outcomes of GreenWorld were presented at the 1st International Joint Conference on Biodiversity, Technology and Social Sciences.
